THE ESCAPE

Trousers soiled from their encounter
German soldiers break from cover preferring the open flight to remaining
under the gun of two flamethrowers.
|
|
Control of the troops breaks down as they clear the smoke. The withdrawl turns into a rout as they come under fire. |
 |
|
One soldier however seperates himself from the retreating forces. Using the retreating gaggle as cover he slips forward. |
 |
The crew of the crocodile remain oblivious.
|
 |
Fortunately the Wasp, still in action,
lays down a sheet of flame driving the man to ground.
|
|
With the blinded croc a sitting duck only meters away the soldier is given no opportunity to fire.
Helpless he watches the croc dish out punishment upon his fellows. |

 |
Such thoughts are fleeting however as
he finds himself the recipient of yet another wasp attack.
|
|
Sheathed in flames he sees the first
surrendering while fire continues to pour into those yet fleeing.
|
 |
silhouetted against the fire, he makes an easy target as the croc's mg's awaken. |
