Aachen Barbecue

What follows is my first effective use of the flamthower. Try it some time :)

We had started taking fire from the moment we entered town and had forced our way to here, an enemy strongpoint directly in between us and our destination.

Unwilling to sacrifice any more men than necesary I brought up Cpl Hardenberger and his flamethrower hoping to coax the enemy out.

How do you say "got a light" in German?

Having lost his partner moving into position Hardenberger puts area fire on the building from out of the LOS of the enemy within.

Look at it burn :)

Immediately the building goes up in flames. Although this doesn't kill the occupants...

It does force them out into the street where instantly they become the center of attention for the battered remnants of my assaulting troops.

Another burst for good measure, the gerries don't know which way to go.

As the fire pours in from all angles they go down quick. All they want now is to escape...

And finally,

Eliminated...

I would like to point out the increased effectiveness of your units when used in conjunction which each other with combined arms tactics.

Whereas individually either of these unit types will have difficulty on their own, playing off each other where their strengths can be employed they both seem stronger.
